Spring is right around the corner, what better thing than planning an elopement in the Dolomites to celebrate the power of love?
C. and M. reached out to me and asked me to help them plan their special day. I assisted naming a few location ideas and providing a sustainable and locally designed bouquet.
As the video and cover photo suggest, this couple LOVES hiking! They did the entire hike (and photo session) in their hiking boots and rightly so! It had snowed the previous night, as well as the days before, and we were there in the first half of the morning, to avoid crowds. That meant snowball fight (!!!!!YES!) but also a few steps on the ice where the sun had not yet arrived.
Elopement in the Dolomites: how does spring look here?
The weather is always the biggest question mark when planning an outdoor elopement, Dolomites are no exception. It’s true that the italian side of the Alps do benefit from some mediterranean high pressures, but, especially during spring, weather can still be pretty unpredictable. My main suggestion, especially if you’re coming from another country, is to maintain a flexible plan for the days you intend to visit and have your elopement take place.
If you’d love to elope in the italian Dolomites but you don’t know where to start, a local planner is your best bet, you can read more about that on The Dolomites Wedding Experience page.
